Welcome to the fourth edition of IT Management Review. As you know, IT Management Review is a monthly digest covering the best of IT Management blog posts published within the last month. Application Management, ITSM, infrastructure management, governance, performance management, program management and trends are all fair game. We had a couple of good submission, but to bring the quality up a notch. I've added other great IT Management posts from the last month.
To start our review check out Ade McCormack's IT Beacon Blog's recent post on CIO beyond service as a process. It is an excellent article questioning leverage ITIL within a customer service driven focus.
Next we meander over to Peter Birley reviews Social Networking in Business - Part 2 over at the CIO Blog. Its a quick way to review and determine what tools, wiki's, blogging, microblogging and unified communications would have bang for the buck in a given scenario.
Peter B. Giblett reminds us due diligence matters in First things first, perform the process review posted at Perspectives & Strategy.
Todd Williams brings to light the importance of developing trust to accurately diagnosis and correct issues in Who Do You Trust at Back from Red.
Michiko shares Busting up Mis-communication with the Clarification Timeout over at Preventing Project Failure. The post has a good tip to proactively addressing communication disconnects.
Steve Romero crystalizes how IT Governance Stops the Hate Between the Business and IT at The IT Goverance Evangelist. This is a though provoking entry reviewing how good governance alleviates the venom in the relationship between it and the business.
Kathy C presents Advantages of Temporary Employees posted at The Thriving Small Business. This post highlights the advantages and disadvantages of a temp workforce in small to medium businesses.
Managed Services presents Step 1 of the 7 Step Sales Process; Strategic Preparation posted at Managed Services. Its a good overview to the benefits of homework and preparation in positioning a sale.
