Just email the phone

There are times, where one needs to get a short message to a cell user. Its really not worth the calling and bothering, but the knowledge is needed.

Check out below for the email addresses that can be used to send a short message to cell users on different carriers.

AT&T: AreaCode+Mobile@mobile.att.net
Verizon: AreaCode+Mobile@vtext.com
Nextel: AreaCode+Mobile@page.nextel.com
T-Mobile: AreaCode+Mobile@tmomail.com
Sprint: AreaCode+Mobile@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Cingular: 1+AreaCode+Mobile@mobile.mycingular.com

For those subscribed to multimedia packages, and/or those with phones capable of showing images:

1+AreaCode+Mobile@mms.mycingular.com

Works as well. Not as quick, but better versatility to show images and richer text.

Anybody know how to email pics to a verizon phone? They come across as some weird attachment format that wont open. This messaging method has been very useful for us, although after switching to verizon we're still trying to figure out the interface.

When sending pictures by email to a cell phone try sending the attachment with the format set to rich text. That works for me from Outlook Express
