Leadership Syles

There are several different styles of leadership in the world. Some are good at one time others are good at another.

Directing - Telling others what to do
Facilitating - Coordinating the input of others
Coaching - Instructing others
Supporting - Providing assistance along the way
Autocratic - Making decisions without input
Consultative - Inviting ideas from others
Consensus - Problem solving in a group with decision - making based on group agreement.

These all seem to be management styles.

To me, leadership is about setting a direction and communication that direction in such a way that it inspires people to follow. If people aren't inspired enough by what the leader envisages to follow that leader, then there is no leadership.
